W2R1 done and although I found the first run a bit difficult, it was better than I thought it was going to be!

Just one thing - my adductor muscles ache now, they're not painful so I don't think I've strained my groin but it feels more like maybe they ache because I'm running now? What do people think?

I had pain like this at the end of wk1 and thought I'd struggle to keep up the running but I stuck to the rest days and now do a few stretches before running. By end of Wk2 they stopped feeling tight and at end of Wk3 really felt all the niggles and twinges I had initially (and there were loads !) had all settled down.

Thank You! I stretch before every 5 minute walk at the beginning, and always use my rest days. I was pretty sedentary before I started C25k so was hoping it was just a little niggles like you said and getting used to moving more! It's eased off now though since I got home and have been pottering about making tea 😊

Expect aches and pains.... :) Your body has no idea what you are doing to it:)

Warm up really well... dynamic stretching before the run may help and your post run stretches are essential !

Take it very slowly and very steadily too.
