So, I have done two runs and now my legs are hurting. The front of my thighs in particular, especially when I lower my self to seated or walk down hill.
Is this common? Does it go away? I am stretching them out 3 or 4 times a day.

yep you've made your muscles do more than they've done for a long time and yes it is common
Keep up the stretching and as your legs strengthen things will improve
I assume you mean the first two runs of the programme, in which case you can expect to ache. I could hardly walk up and down stairs after the first couple of runs, until l discovered these nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/... which I do religiously, holding for thirty seconds, immediately after each and every run.
Post run stretching is the most effective as muscles are warm and supple, but the pull on the muscle group should feel on the verge of being uncomfortable, if you are doing them correctly.
I do mean the first two runs of the programme. Those are the stretches I am doing and yes they are painful. Am thinking I might take my two day break before the next run, has to happen somewhere and that might help recovery
thanks for your help!
Oh indeed yes, it does get better though stick with it. However if you have 'pain' as opposed to aching that's not so good & worth checking out
