Ok so managed Week 1 run 1 yesterday and now looking forward to run 2 tomorrow!!
Its an early morning one for me which will be interesting and also is it just me or are people conscious of walking when coming across others? Not important just curious

Yup, I always feel the need to explain.... even though I am guessing no one is in the least bit interested... any of my friends seeing me get told about intervals. And when I do the walking I swing my arms vigorously to make it plain that this is exercise not just strolling. It's pathetic really...
Well done! I try and look at it as, the next run I do is the most important run I will ever do. Without the next run, I won't be running anymore! But that very first run you did? That's the second most important. =}
No... not at all... you are doing this for you...not anyone else...you just do what you are doing, head up, smile fixed and enjoy... Let them make of it what they will
Self- confidence is the best outfit.. rock it and own it
Totally 🤣 Just as Mr J started me on my next run as I turned the corner a couple were walking about 10m ahead of me. I was also heading for a slight incline which by my 4th run looked like Everest and I calculated that I'd have to start walking after I'd run past them looking like a right lightweight so I practically ran on the spot for a minute! What a plonker!
Many people post highly respectable times for marathons using run/walk strategies, so there is no shame in walking......if you really have to, just make out you are training for your next marathon.
Your walk sections should be at a brisk walk, so there should not be much scope for speeding up!!
You will soon realise that lycra makes you very nearly invisible.........non runners don't like to acknowledge that somebody is coming who is fitter than them.
