Trail run

Looking forward to my new life as a runner and have a few "trail runs" planned for when and as my abilities improve though there is a nice little run that I will be doing pretty soon

A nice little off the road run through field and woodland that I just feel could be kinda fun and that because of intersecting footpaths I can shorten or extend as I like

I'm very tempted to try a trail run or two myself. I've done a tiny bit of off road running which was so much kinder to my creaky joints. I find the distraction of the varied terrain and having to watch where you're running takes my mind of the run!

Getting off road is what it is all about in my book.

There is nothing like careering through the puddles and frightening the wildlife to make you feel alive.

It can be a bit more tiring, but it strengthens all your leg muscles much more than road running.
