I rarely post here these days but can be found lurking the Facebook 'Beyond C25K' and other groups. I just wanted to pop in and let you know that you're all doing amazing things that will change your lives in ways you may not even imagine right now. I love reading your journeys and they remind me of my first tentative steps after a lifetime of sitting on the couch...
I started running in March 2014 to these podcasts and with the support of this group and some stubbornness on my part, managed to graduate and ran my first 5K in June 2014...
3 years later, over 3 stone lighter, a multi-marathoner, an ultra marathoner and soon to finish a 100km event with some amazing folks who started C25K not so many years ago and who I met through this forum!
I'm not saying we all need to run ultras (I'm a special kind of crazy), but what I am saying is that you are all in the process of unlocking your full potential. Every step forward is a step in the right direction - forget the pace! Every setback and every injury woe is a learning experience for next time.. every victory is yours... 1 mile, 1km or 100km... you'll be amazed how amazing you are when you push yourself just a little bit more each day..
Grab those trainers, do your thing.. you got this!
Lovely inspiring post and just what I need to hear during my time here on the ic! One half marathon done, hopefully more ahead. Well done for your amazing journey and good luck with your next amazing challenge!
Thank you for the great post, I love reading all the different stories about where the C25K can take us, it changes lives. You have done some amazing things, good luck with your 100km, we will be thinking of you.
Ps. I'm sure you run over the finish line at the Winter Run faster than anyone else because you want the cake. 🍰😀😀😀.
