I had to take a week off whilst on week 8 due to a cold. I had no problem getting back into it, although first couple of runs were though. But I did not have an op. I think you are probably doing the right thing, start walking, perhaps have a light jog and see how you feel. If you take a few more days off to recover and get stronger I don't think it will have much effect on your running.
If you have had the all clear from your GP etc after your op... maybe a gentle jogette to see how you feel..? Your body, ( not the gremlins in your head), will tell you if you are pushing too hard.
Breathe naturally and see how you feel.. if it goes well and you complete 30, slow and steady minutes, then fine..if not..it was a 'see how I go run' nothing lost there.
Just take it gently..nothing to lose, everything to gain )
I had 17 days off with a knee injury at the end of W8. I went out on my first run of W9 with no expectation other than to just go out and run. I did it, though, the whole freaking 30 minute run.
