Legs tire before I'm out of breath.

I just completed week 8 today but I've found for the last few runs my legs are tiring long before I'm getting out of breath. They feel really heavy - especially my quads.

In a weird way I kind of miss that exhausted out of breath feeling from the earlier weeks! It felt like I was really pushing myself aerobically which gave me that runners high afterwards!

Does anyone have any tips to help this? I've been stretching before runs and strength training twice a week - squats, deadlifts etc and I usually have two days off a week.

I'm going to follow this as I could do with the tips too! Breath wise I could keep going but the legs won't allow it!

Happy running!

I've no suggestions but also keen to hear what others think! Also at week 8 and in the same position - I'm just hoping they will continue to improve 🙂

A friend of mine told me compression socks really help with the calves! Might be worth a try! And make sure you are stretching before and after and well hydrated! I read somewhere the day before he run is really important to drink lots!

Thanks for this - I am pretty good with hydration but to be fair I never really stretch afterwards 😕 - I'll start with this and have a look into compression socks too! Thanks for your reply :) xx
