W1R1 done; went better than I expected.

I've been reading on here for a few days, psyching myself up to get started. I'm floored by the amount of support and encouragement I've seen.

I actually worked up to running a mile about 5 years ago, then suffered an injury, and haven't run since. Now I'm terribly out of shape, but hopeful......

I wasn't able to run the entire 60 seconds a couple times, and had to remind myself to slow down. Looking forward to R2.

Well done! Even if you didn't manage to complete all the runs, you should be proud of yourself for trying!

I tried c25k in March and was so gutted I couldn't even do 3 of the runs. I've since built up fitness, lost a little weight and have just finished week 1. Have to admit I struggled a bit with my calves yesterday though (I stupidly stretched before I warmed up properly!).

Keep at it, you'll definitely get there :)

Slow is wonderful... especially in the warmth we have had, certainly in Wales today :)

Great to have you back again, and glad you are recovered :)

Keep it steady and slow and take those rest days...maybe a bit of Strength and Flex on the rest days and a bit of walking or swimming to build up stamina?
