Running in the Rain

Well I have just done WK2R1 and it was raining. The gremlin I had to battle to get out there was huge. But I did it and am so proud of myself. I took it easy and actually found the run quite relaxing and reasonably easy. Anyone have any tips on running in the rain.....the motivation took more effort than the run itself!

My only advice for running in the rain is the BBC Weather app. In nearly four years running I have only set out on a run in the rain on a handful of occasions. The app is generally pretty accurate and so long as you can be flexible with your running days/times, then there is no need to get wet.

I don't mind running in the rain, but see no point getting wet and cold if it can be avoided.

Thanks for reply, yeah working full time and only having certain evenings that I can run does make my time a bit limited. Living in the South West doesn't help either with all the rain we get. But yes I will try to avoid the wetness 🌧🏃

I live in the South West and can't remember a drier start to the year. I normally run before work and only occasionally have had to move my runs to the evening to avoid the weather. Just plan a few days ahead and stay as flexible as possible.
