So I just got in from my second Crossfit session of the day (this is me easing back in gently - I did a Masters class for the over 40's on Sunday, then signed on full time again yesterday after weights and went to the full on Firebreathers session at 05.45 and at 13.00. Do as I say kids, not as I do), and was feeling legitimately a.) famished and b.) like I had been beaten up by armoured dinosaurs.
Imagine my joy to find Mr Amazon had been in my absence and delivered this package of joy.
I have just eaten one - well I sort of inhaled the first half wthout chewing because I was so hungry and could not make my jaw work - and already feel a ton better. Energy greatly replenished and virtually no crappy sugars and carbs so no crash looming.
I would definitely consider this as run friendly fuel.

I did actually, err, cause the heart monitor to break. The top part of it snapped off. I have to go back to get it replaced later.
Which is a liitle bit awks as I broke the first one on Saturday doing the kettlebell challenge. I suspect they are going to be distinctly underimpressed with me. I did venture the opinion that t wasnt my fault, but the device was clearly not designed to withstand the rigours of vigorous exercise, but the Cardiology technocian lady just gave me a rather old fashioned look at that comment and said "No. They are not."
Only you!! Do look after yourself though, you would be sorely missed here if you did anything reckless that put you out of action ( I know, I sound like your Mum)
We need the Squat Police at full force and as their senior officer, your leadership is crucial .😜😉
Now this is proof that the old Rig is back. Can't wait to hear the reports on "running like a Viking", "Tough Mudder but 10x harder", "that competition where you have to do 3 million burpees, followed by 16 million lunges and squats etc, etc" and all the other mad - and terrifying - things he's done in the past😈
I have to say a couple of hours later the effect on my post workout recovery is astonishing. I was absolutely shattered this morning and after the session and had epic DOMS in traps, lats, abs and quads from yesterday still, but have been feeling pretty good all afternoon. I am sure I will be stiff as a board in the monring but feel quite mobile at the moment and none of that mid afternoon energy slump.
Will see how it goes next time I have one - might have one pre workout/run next time and see how that works.
Am not sponsored by them btw. Although if you're reading this, Grenade, I'm open to offers.
