OK, I have downloaded the podcasts from the NHS Couch to 5K site and am readying myself to start on Monday coming.
Will keep posted on progress

Great stuff!
Why Monday, what is wrong with tonight?
Great stuff... remember follow the programme, and keep it slow and steady...no rushing is needed...
Rest days are essential, also any extra exercise on those days is great for building up strength and stamina...walking is brilliant too
Listen to your body and do not be tempted to push too hard. The C25K is built on a steady structured path to an injury free 30 minute run
Keep posting too for great advice and support
You'll be absolutely fine. Follow the podcast to the letter and you'll get there, it works. Just remember keep it slow and take your rest days.
Make sure you post so we see how you're doing. Happy running!
Welcome to tortoise town🐢🐢🐢🐢. No "hare" today, gone tomorrow faddy fitness regime here. This is a life long change you will see and that needs patience.
I'm fairly new here but I will give you one piece of advice that has helped me.
The time to look ahead ( not down) is when you are running ( shuffling etc) . At home, on this forum, in bed, on your iPad and everywhere else, try to keep your eyes firmly on the here and now. Deal with each run as you do it and don't fret/ catastrophise about next week. Use your rest days to congratulate yourself on getting there and allow yourself to take the occasional smug look back at last week, last month or last year when you couldn't do what you can today.
Keep it slow and off you go.🐢🏃🏻😀
