Well it’s a big surprise to me, I started going to a gym for the first time in April. I also changed my diet. Since then I’ve dropped from 13st 8lb to 11st 11lb, mostly due to diet change. A couple of months ago I decided to try out the treadmill for the first time, and thought c25k would be good idea.
And now week 9 looms. I’m feeling confident, so here I go.

Hi. Still on the treadmill. I’ve run in the past and did c25k 2 years ago but stopped when it got cold and snowy. I’d prefer running outside but find the impacts do cause me problems in my knees and my plantar fascia. Not so much of an issue on the treadmill. Maybe outside in the spring 😀 perhaps even park run. But need to get this week out of the way first.
The First time I went on a thread mill the room was spinning when I got off. I wasn’t expecting that. It’s not spinning as much now as I do a warm down all the way to it stopping and look out the window a the trees. But the first time was a bit surprising.
The 5 minute warm down walk is so important. I remember finishing a run one day just going to start my 5 minute walk at the end and someone stopped to talk to me within a minute I thought I was going to be sick.
