Running rest day ideas?

I am starting some step aerobics. It is free because I do it at home using You Tube, Link it up to my television and I have a one-to-one session. I use Jenny Ford because it is pretty easy in terms of steps (my co-ordination is terrible) but it works out my legs (I put it on the lowest step because they are supposed to be resting) and it make sure I get my arms moving and work my core a little too. I am perspiring here in my living room. What ideas do you have?? Please share!

Leslie Sansome also has some walking exercise sessions, look like fun but I'm too tired to try it, will have a go later LOL! Running tomorrow (yay)! I find that any aerobic exercise (including cycling) gives me that feel good factor when I can't run!!

Brilliant idea, we have a wi-fit that would do that too!

Before I run I do a head to toe joints warm up then my 5 min walk. I had a new Mikki Bubble album for Christmas. When I put it on I realised there are a couple of tracks I can boogie to for the joints warm up....... great fun too!

Only have 1-2 rest days these days so any sportcI do is on top of the running. I'm having a go at Scottish dancing starting in January. Enjoyed it at primary school but that is a long time ago now! I also plan to do something about my arms but not sure what. Hurling burly Scotsmen about might do it but they are thin on the ground here and in any case might prove resistant. Unfortunately gyms and exercise machines have never appealed to me so I need to find other ways of staying fit and in shape. Running is still my favourite aerobic activity though.

I had a mince pie for breakfast yesterday. It has fruit in it. It's healthy, right?

Must count for at least three of your five a day Anne. I ate two yesterday, just to ensure I hit my quota! 😂

Never heard of it Dave. I'll check it out, thanks for that.

This looks like a great idea! I thought I'd move my heels up and down off the bottom stair when I am able, with my toes on the edge of the stair. This sounds ridiculous, not my high heels 👠, my own heels! 😂 Still not as labour intensive as what you're doing! Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻😀
