So an advert for Edinburgh Running Tours popped up on my social media newsfeed, in particular their new 'Winter Warmer' tour, which is a 5k run around the Royal Mile complete with tour guide, finishing up with a whisky tasting at the Scottish Malt Whisky Society.
Sounds fun! I'm tempted to check it out....

Yes. It sounds like fun, but I'd have to be a good bit fitter to deal with Edinburgh.
True about the hills, especially as it starts at the Scottish Parliament. It must be a nice downhill bit on the approach to the SMWS though....
