Best time to run?

This has probably been asked loads but what time do people run? I've just been out and found it so hot. I only managed to run for 3km! As the days are hopefully going to get nicer I'm wondering what time would be the best to go out. I can't go out morning as my daughter (10 yrs) is home but could I do a run after tea? I'm so confused! 😫

I normally run first thing in the morning (around 6am) but I don't have children to worry about.

During the weekend I go out around 10ish but I've done a couple of runs this week at around 2.30/3ish.

That probably doesn't help much but it gives you an idea ☺

For the summer, I would train up the 10 year old to be ok with you going out early morning.  Presumably as long as she knows you've gone running and the house is locked and safe, she'd be ok if you went out at something like 6.30 in the morning??  I don't want to encourage you to abandon your child if you don't feel ready, but half an hour before she gets up could be ok, couldn't it?  I guess it depends how mature your daughter is.  My boy would have been ok at that age as long as he was prepared.

I think she'd probably be ok and she loves to sleep until I wake her up so maybe it's a possibility. Thanks for the advice :)

I like to run about 6am in the summer, because that's when it's coolest. Could your 10 year old be left for 30-40 minutes at that time in the morning? Or, failing that, how would she feel about going with you?

In the week I run when I get home from work, straight in change and out the door ☺Saturdays usually early am between 6.30 + 7.30

The best time is what works for you ☺

I know what you mean felt it today and that was at 2pm, try later on in the evening maybe ?

The best time to run is... when you have time. 😜

I almost always run after work and before dinner, that for me means I go out around 6:30/7:30pm.

0530 usually. Sometimes lunchtime if the weather is poor enough for there not to be too many twitchers about.

Was out running today at lunchtime, 14deg, lovely, not too hot at all for me. Run at a time convenient for you!😊

Thanks for the info everyone. I'm hoping to do park run every Saturday morning so the other two runs I'll try early on probably about 6.30 :)

Day break is my time.

We are coming into winter here so 06.15 is just before light. By the time I do 1K I can see if any fairies are hiding behind the bushes.
