I'm currently wearing an old pair of Nikes that are at least 7 years old probably nearer 10. I realize that I'm going to have to spend a bit of cash but don't really want to spend £100s but want to get the right shoe for the job/my feet. Where would be the best place to go to get the best advice. I live in Central Bedfordshire if that's helpful/relevant.

If you don't have any specific gait issues cheaper shoes are just as good, I have karrimor trail shoes from sports direct, they weren't much over £20.

I would second Sports Direct, loads of choice and very keen prices. I love my
New Balance running shoes, they feel much more expensive than the £27 I paid for them!

No Limitz in Bedford are very good. I was in there a few days ago and they currently have reductions on quite a few lines. They also do gait analysis free if you buy your shoes there (£10 if you don't ). The guy I spoke to was very knowledgable and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need - always a bonus.
No Limitz. 25 Shuttleworth Road, Bedford, MK41 0HS.
