Any good feet remedies?

I went London yesterday in some completely impractical shoes and proceeded to walk a fair few miles in them only to find at the end of the night that the soles of my feet were burning!  Luckily today has been a rest day so they've had a little bit of a break, but tomorrow I'll be continuing my Asics plan which consists of a 2 mile run. It'll be my longest run for a while and although I'm sure I can do it, I'm not sure my feet will be up to it and it will give those pesky gremlins an excuse to come niggling in my ear.

So my question is, how do you help your feet recover?  Any good hints and tips to relax and rejuvenate them?

Hi. I don't have any advice (sorry!) but am new to running and loving it and hadn't heard of the Asics plan before (yes VERY new) so just looked it up and looks very interesting! Thank you!! For feet maybe an ice bath? I think Eddie Izzard swears by them....although doesn't sound very relaxing! ☺

Try soaking your feet in a tub of hot water with sea salt/Epsom salt. It worked wonders for me for many weeks when I had sore, achy feet.

Hydrate, massage and use the correct shoes.  Good luck!  Hope all goes well for you.

Thank you.  I've been quite good at keeping them up and with a pair of insanely fluffy socks and my running shoes I managed to power through this morning. They're still a bit sore, but another rest day tomorrow should mean they'll be right as rain by Monday.
