Because I felt the intensity of training plans for runners didn't always suit older runners, I decided to create a new Facebook page for running oldies. If any forum members of a certain age are interested, the link is facebook.com/rungranny?ref=hl

or search for Rungranny on Facebook.

Yes - I can't connect to this page either :)

I think it is a good idea -- I have searched widely for running plans for seniors - and didn't find much.

Re intensity - I think that "intensity" of training runs can be easily determined by current racing pace eg parkrun results. Hence a 40 minute parkrunner needs to train at a slower ( less intense) pace than a 30 minute parkrunner - but that is also the case for any age. Probably what is needed most is a training regime that allows plenty of rest/recovery.

Have changed the link. Does that work now? If so Bazza I think you should make the first post.
