Very well done! I have just finished week 8 too. I hope I can graduate by this time next week but my calf muscle is feeling a bit strained so may have to take a few more rest days. Good luck with week 9 ,you will fly through it I'm sure. So exciting isn't it? Could barely run for a minute without feeling like I was about to keel over and die at the beginning but then the transformation happens and you can run!! 😊

Totally agree with you thinking back to that first week and I felt just running for 1 minute, gasping for breath & feeling as though my heart was going to burst! It is very exciting but feeling apprehensive about not having the structure afterwards, I have kind if like that in a way. Best to rest a couple more days if your calf is feeling like that no point of an injury this close to graduating.

I know what you mean about what to do next. Might try and build up to running 5k in as long as it takes as only running about 4k in 28 mins at the moment. Then try getting faster by running 5k in 30 mins eventually. Might also try a Park run as they look like fun.

I have thought about doing the same, aiming for 5k in ever how long it takes which for me at the speed I run will be about 50 minutes! But then I can start chipping away at the time!
