I finished w7r1 yesterday and am dying to go out again today, (beautiful day outside) should I do it or wait till tomorrow like Laura says? Advice would be greatly received x

The rest days are an essential part of the programme for muscle repair etc. why not go for a walk instead?

I know exactly what you mean, I was going to have a third rest day today but it was indeed a fine morning and I couldn't resist! At your stage though, it's really advised to take your rest days, your muscles need them! I've seen so many people get injures from doing too much. There will be other lovely days...

Your body needs to rest while u r on a programme to build fitness. Otherwise u risk injury and that wd b a real setback! If you must move, think of another form of exercise and be gentle - how about the Strenth and Flex programme on Health Unlocked or go for a bike ride or swimming?? Julie

swimming is a great cross training activity for running, and yes rest days are vital!

Rest days are important, I did run 2 days on trot and my back began to hurt. Could you do something else - like others said swimming or a nice walk in countryside.

*What they said* 😆

I totally know what you mean though- it's funny but about half an hour after a run I kinda want to go again! And rest days I'm wondering about it too! I did actually do a run very early one morning and the next run the following evening, to squeeze it in beforw having to travel the next day- probably not a good idea though. If you get a dog you have to walk him/her every day anyway which gets you out and about anyway :)

And as everyone says- lovely day for a swim esp if you can go outdoors :)
