wasn't going to beat me across the line at parkrun!!! You can see that she was running fast!! - look how that baby is hanging on!!! :)

Parkrun again tomorrow !! - and then on Sunday we are going to investigate a runners and walkers club

ttscrunnersandwalkers.org/ They seem to have a good mix of ages - although I DO NOT believe that the top photo is them !! Unfortunately they are an hours drive away - but at the beach and they seem to be quite "social ", going to breakfast/lunch after their Sunday run.

Parkrun next week is "pacers week" -- I think that I might just have a go at trying to keep up with the 30 minute pacer -- you never know!!!! :)

Sounds excellent. Well done.

Yes, it would be a bit embarassing to be passed by somone pushing a huge stroller one handed !

That child regrets pushing the 'Warp Speed' button now ;)

Hope the club turns out to be what you want/need :D Keep us updated & good luck catching the pacer (sorry, I meant keeping up with ;D)

At least you won't have to put up with these inconsiderately fast pram pushers on the beach if you join the sandwalkers. But why are they wearing shoes? And how do they keep the sand out? Someone must have photoshopped the cover picture!

No - we do run on the beach here in shoes!! :) But I think that that photo was of a race that maybe some members participated in. The photo underneath is the real "them" :)

You have left the mystery of all mysteries unanswered! How do you keep the sand out?? :-)

It's hard sand!

Ah... OK that makes sense. I suppose it would be a bit masochistic to run on soft sand, anyway. (Not to mention the fact that all the local osteopaths would come gliding in to perch on the trees, and leer hungrily at all the runners as they set off.)

Looks great - my aim at Parkrun is to try and get round the first lap before the lead runner laps me.
