Soooooo you aren't supposed to be able to go the wrong way on a parkrun course. Ha! Meet me. Still managed 5k according toGarmin but it seems I went the pretty way and the wrong way, hopefully will get it right next time!
Park run pathetic: Soooooo you aren't supposed... - Couch to 5K
Park run pathetic
Lol didn't think it was possible where were all the other runners, I usually have runners nearby or lapping me
Wrong way on a Park run ? Me too !
It was the Great Local 5k run ( their version of Park run ) and not only did I do it once, I did it the week after n'all !
You managed to complete it though- Result !
Well done Bailey, you didnt give up , you just kept on going ! xxx
Ha! Ha! Weren't there any pointer signs? At least you did it, well done! Love it!
There were plenty of signs...... Baileyb (my other half) was.... "In the zone".
we have a short-cut. Oh the number of times I wished I could take it
Least you completed it and ran 5k that's all that matters. Well done you and next time you can follow the herd! x
A few months ago our local Parkrun had a visiting tourist that ended up going the wrong way. From memory he ended up getting back on track and finished first in about 18 minutes!!!! Thus, it can happen to the best of 'm
Great job in carrying on and completing the 5k!
Maybe garmin should incorporate their sat nav into my watch! then it can beep if i go the wrong way
Running morrisons 10k soon, oh dear bound to go wrong again, if anyone spots me tell me im going the wrong way please!,
Yep, me too, in fact I was misdirected by the marshalls!
Me too, first time I couldn't find a Marshall to ask and second time I was waved on, the wrong way but in not complaining, they are volunteers after all and she kept apologising after.
That happened to me at my last parkrun, the last marshal sent me the wrong way so I ended up running 6km instead of 5km because I got lost and just went back to the same marshal but like you said they are volunteers, I must admit at the time I was a bit upset but then people on here made me realise that I had run the furthest I have ever ran and did it in a pretty decent time so now I'm happy I got sent the wrong way
The main thing is you still completed the 5km which is great, you should give yourself a pat on the back, the wrong way or not you still went, ran and completed the full parkrun
Well I supposed you prefer to see people faces instead of their backsides. Funny I think!
