W1R1....almost

Feeling tired. Just completed my first run, even if I only ran for. Total of 90 seconds in all. I managed a brisk walk for the entire time though. Guess it will get easier.

really well done phoebe :) taking those 1st steps is often the hardest :) does it get easier ? hmm the honest answer is probably no but that is what drives us to do it and the feelings of achievement are just wonderful :D

Stick at it and you will surprise yourself at what you can do :D

Well done for getting started. As the physical challenge increases slowly as you move along the programme, it will still feel tough. However, paradixcally, it will also get easier as psychologically it is a great motivator to know that you are making progress. I felt that having accomplished one week really helped during the next even if that was hard. I think most people manage to develop a "I can do this" mentality which takes them all the way. And if you do struggle at times, and maybe repeat a run or a week, who cares....you will still be in a better place than where you were before you started!

Well done. Keep at it :) You'll make progress and that is the bit that gets addictive and drives you on!!!!

Well done - you'll be amazed how quickly you'll improve over the weeks!

Well done and keep going. That sense of achievement is an amazing thing.

Laura is right too, it's not about how fast you go but completing the runs. I'm just starting W4 and never thought I would get here, so if I can do it, you can too πŸ˜„

It definitely gets easier in some ways. You will be able to do the full 60 sec intervals and also your breathing will recover faster during the walks.....I almost did W1R1 as well the first day but the other two were fine.

It's very sneaky, C25K - it feels like it's never going to get better because every week is harder but it's slowly getting you to love the feeling you get after pushing yourself further and, before you know it, you're hooked. :)
