From the BBC today: bbc.co.uk/news/health-32735723

Nice (and, sadly, refreshing) to see a news story that is positive about exercising without adding a negative spin. Not that there's any need to convince us c25k'ers about the health benefits of regular exercise :)

I was surprised it was only an extra five years. Mind you a much better quality five years. Five years is a long time if you're not fit and able

Hopefully we all will be even when in our dotage

I noticed on my race the other two very elderly people. One lady much older than me beat me into oblivion. To me she looked well into her 70's. One lady well into her 60's did a 10 k in 52 MINUTES. This was just a village race too, not some elite job

52 minutes, walks off shaking head

52 minutes? Wow!

As for the five years extra, I think you're spot on about it being 5 quality years. Well, at least I hope you're spot on. I'd like to get some return on this fitness investment :)
