So did my first week weigh in though I was skeptical about doing that since my first week was like a half week, started my diet on wednesday evening but pleasantly surprised to see I lost 1kg but am going to incorporate something new into this week, am gonna try the 5:2 diet i e, doing my 1400kcal 5 days a week and 500kcal for 2days a week in addition to my workouts. Keeping my fingers crossed for it. Will let you know by the end of the week how that turns out!

Best of luck! I know someone who does the 5:2 diet as a life style. But he doesn't do any exercise so he just maintains his weight.
I'm not mad on these diets where it's feast or famine. I think when you're exercising regularly it's not the time to be hungry. If you cut out the junk from your diet then the weight will shift, and shift faster if you're doing C25k

Erm... what you are describing *isn't* the 5:2 diet... unless maybe you have a particularly small frame.
Sounds as though you are looking for a temporary fix... which isn't going to last.
Be kind to yourself and look for something which will be sustainable long term.
I know 5:2 entails doing 2000kcal on non fast days, but for now am going to stick to 1400kcal cause with it I can eat and just be ok but when am doing 2000kcal cos cos i know I can, I sometimes just overeat, if it becomes necessary sure i can amend it but for now, am happy to try 1400kcal for the coming week.
