Here's an action shot from Parkrun last weekend - I'm the one (looking a bit serious) all in black with the bumbag!

Ahaaaa! Great pic, that!
Great picture GLudwig. Every inch a runner, complete with swishy ponytail
My husband was convinced it was a big red shrub behind my head and wouldn't have it that it was my ponytail!
Such a good picture!
Great pic
That us a good un Hope the chap in front knew what to expect with you lot coming up behind him!
Yeah, I don't remember him being there. He looks a bit lost!
Nice one Glud. The ponytail is such a cliché though
Is it a bit 80s? That and the bumbag.
Wonderful picture. Hope you had a great run.
Thanks, Ania. I've enjoyed Parkrun a bit more each time Hope your running's gone well this week.
Not really I'm afraid. I've ended up with a hip niggle. I've had to drop down to 2 runs in the week to give it a rest. I ran yesterday but it was a kind of limping run. I can tell the hip is getting better though because today is less pain. Although I'm being careful not to push it and doing a much more slow run.
Sorry to hear that - I'm having to give myself an extra rest day or two as well. I think we need to listen to these niggles and not push it too much at this stage, tempting as it may be! Hope your hip's better soon.
Looking fab GLudwig! A real action shot with swishing ponytail and all!
Looking very good!
Cheers 5k. Have you been able to get back to it yet?
Sadly not. Very frustrating. Went to Brighton to watch the marathon yesterday and probably shouldn't have. Thoroughly depressed by the time I went home. My 10k training schedule for 6th May has gone right out the window.
Hi Steve , whats happened if you don't mind me asking ? xxx
Hi Poppy, the ankles just aren't getting better. Followed all the advice from my doc and from experienced runners but they still hurt. Not as much as when it first happened but enough to stop me running. Still only 8 days I guess but I was hoping for more improvement by now. My wife saw how down I was last night and confessed she hadn't realised just how much it meant to me - not sure I had either! My BHF 10k on 6th May will happen even if I have to walk it as lots of people have kindly sponsored me but it might not be pretty Hope you're continuing to get back to fitness yourself. xxx
Aw , that is such a shame for you xxx
I am off to watch the Manchester marathon next Sunday and I will probably end up feeling the same !
These niggly injuries are very frustrating aren't they ? I understand exactly how you are feeling, lets hope for a quick recovery , and yes, still do your run even if you have to walk a lot of it . Good Luck ! xxx
Oh no, that's really bad luck. I would find that so tough now, after all the work so far. I guess you're going to have to be patient and remember it won't be forever, but how disappointing and frustrating. I watched the start of the marathon too yesterday, by the way. It went past the bottom of my road. I was completely in awe of them all - quite amazing to see so many people doing that.
Despite feeling a bit jealous of them (not that I'll ever run a marathon!) I was really inspired by how determined they all were. I spent a lot of time at about the 24 1/2 mile mark and it was clear some people were really hurting, but they were going to make it come hell or high water! Brilliant to watch.
Aw Glud ! You look FAB-U-LOUS !!!
You've got it all going on there Girl, and I am sooo envious of your pony-tail. I think I am going to get a stick on one
I love that guy at the front, he looks like he has just wandered in and hasnt a clue where he is ha ha xxx
Ha ha poppy. I thought that too but then thought maybe he'd ventured onto the wrong course or something so felt a bit sorry for him. He looks like I felt this morning.....
Super pic - and that chap in front - poor him! Funny what you don't notice when you're running. Good to see you out and about.
Hi Buffy! I don't think I notice much at all when I'm towards the end of a run, especially at the end of an uphill bit which this was. I say uphill, but it's a very gentle slope in reality, just doesn't feel like it! Hope all's well in your neck of the woods x
Hi G - I'm running about once every 7 -10 days. Not enough so still finding it v tough - but I do 5k every time - no style at all, just want to make sure I'm not slipping. Have too much on at the moment and too many stressful things - but felt good after the run (good medicine). Hope that in a couple of months time I'll be out of this hole. xx (I ran in black too this morning - sure its something about not wanting to stand out!). One day we'll be brave enough to wear pink!
Sorry you're having a rough time Hope things are on the up soon. I agree, running does seem to be the best medicine for stresses and worries, so I hope you can keep getting out and about. You could join the new quest perhaps to give yourself a target of running once a week maybe if that would be good? PS I'm usually all in black - definitely trying to lie low! x
Aw , Hey Buffers , sorry to hear youre feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed ((( )))
This too shall pass xxx Keep your chin up Missus ! xxx
Lol, I know, funny!
Brill picci!!!
Lovely action picture Gludwig! You are looking very composed.
Didn't feel it!
Lovely swishing red hair. Excellent pic G
Cheers, Jase. Are we due another vlog from you? Demonstrating your new kit perhaps?
