I am just 4 weeks into the programme - really proud of myself as have never done anything like this before. One niggle - when I am running I get pains in my in-step (a bit like a cramp pain) which spreads up my foot and into my lower shins. As soon as I stop running the pain goes. I bought running shoes and walked them in for 4 weeks before I started running. Anyone any ideas what might be causing this?

Are you a little flat footed? I would see your Dr..I had problems with my arch and now have an insole.

Thanks, I'll book an appointment. Was hoping it was something simple but I am determined to carry on so it needs to be sorted out

I was going to say the same as pot58. Definitely worth getting it checked out. Well done on your progress btw :)
