is anyone else doing c25k on a treadmill at the gym?

i have just completed w3 run3.

Yes I did all mine at gym then eventually started outside. Now do a bit of both!! Good luck with weék 4!

How do you find mixing the two??

I had a number of good runs on the treadmill over the past couple of weeks and quite enjoyed it - I liked the "control" I had over things like speed and heart rate. BUT - I had my first road run yesterday for about 2 weeks and it came as a bit of a shock!! :) Heart rate went much higher than it did on the machine.

Hi Bazza! It's going ok actually. It's very different but I'm finding I'm running for longer outside. I'm very slow, well Prob same speed on both, but because there's more to look at and it's more interesting I do find time flies by outside. I find treadmill easier physically, but boring. Have to hide the timer and have music blasting!! But happy mixing it up!!

I completed my 9 wks on the treadmill and my first 5k the next run after that. I have tried outside and it really is another kettle of fish, I plan to mix and match, especially at this time of year with the dark and cold :D Happy running and what ever way you chose to go, just enjoy :D

I did all of my training on the TM, except my last run which I did outside. I prefer outside running but I am grateful to have a gym to go to.

I've mixed it up over the 9 weeks. Some treadmill, some road and some off-road. I eventually want to be a trail runner so really the treadmill and the road are just to get my fitness levels up to do what I really want to do.

I did the whole thing a couple of years ago on the treadmill, and then moved on to doing it outside. It is definitely harder, and I recommend running on an incline on the treadmill to help compensate! I am doing it again now, and I am on week 3, and on the treadmill again - I prefer setting the speed so that I know I am running at a consistent pace!
