I invested in some stretchy things from boots called FS6 - 2 in a pack , not cheap @ £20+ but they have been brilliant.

Hi sonic, I was diagnosed with PF 12 months ago, it is getting much better now but I still hurt at times.

I wear chunky heels for work (like wedges) that is a huge help, I have insoles for my everyday trainers and d m's again helps to support the arch and I invested in a good pair if running shoes at the start of this programme, I find that all these have stopped me crying in the morning when I first stand up and I can last all day and my feet are comfortable. You can also use things like a tennis ball or a can to roll your feet over to stretch that area.

I hope this helps it's worked for me especially the wedges for work and it doesn't last too long for you.

Soooooo painful, especially getting out of bed in the mornings! I feel for you! I suffered for 2 years having done too much too soon. Definitely the tennis ball worked for me, plus I had to give up running for a long time and just walked a lot.

Do not try and push through it, rest and remedial exercise is the only way forward if it is severe.

Can be a long term thing!

Did this to myself with walking daily in rubbish trainers, and walking everywhere in flip flops on holiday.

Must have good quality footwear for every occasion, always supportive. And keep the weight off. Don't do too much walking until you're fully better.

Took me about 5 months but I've known it last longer with older, weightier people.
