So the gait analysis chap said I should run outside...

Well I've only gone and bloody done it. I've ran for the first time outside. It was pouring with rain and blowing a gale but I managed it. Breathing was a little tough and I was slightly slower than on the treadmill but I did it!!!

Feeling so proud of myself and may do the next run outside too.

For me, outside beats the treadmill every time. I expect you're hooked now!

Well done. I used a treadmill for the programme but have been running outside since. I think it's good to have the option - it certainly works for me if the weather is inclement as it prevents me "putting it off". It is nice outside - more to look at and a bit of fresh air too

Yes, outdoors is free and is much less boring than running like a hamster on a wheel. The time literally flies by when you're outside and you'll be finished before you know it. One thing, just keep running slowly, very slowly. No need for speed

Enjoy your runs!

I was worried about that as it did feel like I was a lot slower than on the treadmill - altho the stats suggest otherwise.

And you should feel proud! Well done. Stick to outdoors. Its far better than a boring old treadmill.
