Morning Run Done!! ;) W3D2

Update to everyone!! I woke up around 2:30 this morning thinking it was time to go run... after dreaming that I wasn't able to due to rain (there is no rain in our forecast for the next week)... and then realized I actually had two more hours to sleep!! So back to sleep I went!

Next time I woke up was 4:45.. I can't say I was leaping out of bed ready to go... but I did get on up and get ready, headed out the door and began running right around 5:00! It was SO DARK still!! Sun doesn't rise until 6:40, so it was a new undertaking for me!

I didn't run the normal route due to safety (busy road... didn't have reflective gear, and also just generally being smart about things) so I just ran laps around my apt complex! I have been avoiding this because there are 3 little hills all spaced out.. so no way to get around them, so that was added to my run this morning!!

And I did it!! with a better time than the first run (I know it isn't about the time, but just throwing that in.. I still went VERY SLOWLY) I also had gotten a knee strap to wear for extra support, and that definitely helped as well!! I can feel myself getting stronger each day and I love it!

So.... Here's to W3D3 coming up on Saturday! :)

Anyone who runs at 5am - with hills no less - has my respect ✊ Great job.

Wow! Well done. The only time I get to see 5 am is if I haven’t gone to bed yet from partying 🤣

Haha thanks!! I tend to go to bed pretty early... but even this was a stretch for me!! Definitely have felt today like I could take on the world though!!! :)

The 2-4 o clock afternoon stretch will probably be the hardest to make it through as far as being tired!

I might try it!! Heard it makes you feel great. I take it you don’t eat or drink anything beforehand?

Run at 7 am, have a drink but nothing to eat. I have a small bowl of porridge about 1 1/2 hrs later when I get to work. Found mornings better than going in the evening so far, particularly after working all day. Never thought I’d be doing this before work ! Ever!
