(Wednesday) Hula hoop?! Not the edible kind. Notoriety is fun. Big plans are afoot. We had a very late newcomer to the event today. Madge50 wanted to sign up before but couldn't swim, was there an hula hoop option? Well, we can't say no. Hula hoop! That has to class as all time exercise classic event. And she has already finished!
Keep going everyone!

Who would have thought 2 months ago that we'd all be triathletes by the beginning of August? I particularly like the inventive ways people have devised different ways to achieve the accolade. Hula hooping sounds tough, so well done Madge50

Wow, to have been mentioned in despatches, I really am chuffed! Don't be too impressed at the hooping, got dodgy ankles see, and started it when I couldn't run following a badly sprained ankle - can run on road, but anything lumpy, forget it. Wished I'd thought of the paddling pool, could have gone round next doors, and climbed in with the 4 kids, 2 dogs and guinea pig. But 'tis done now.
Actually the only way I can swim is with scuba gear, isn't that weird? And as you can't qualify as a diver without swimming unaided 200metres, I'm stuck with doing 'try dives' , maybe I was the 'wicked witch of the west' in a previous life, aversion to water.......
Morning, Dozz and fellow triathletes. Having just completed week 7, very easily I might add.
Speaking of notorious, I am considering signing up for a 5k at a local naturist resort...you can dress as minimalist as you want...however, if it's sweltering hot, toss the kit but keep the trainers on. However, I need to check my schedule and I think it might conflict with a charity function that I am participating in....well, there is always next year.
I doubt that I could actually do it, but it's nice to have a bit of fun talking about it. Besides, I need to wear 70spf sunblock because of a medical conditio, so I don't like being in the sun too much.
pp, I will go with the charity function since I already sponsored four men to walk a mile in women's shoes. It called "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" and it's for our local sexual assault counseling centre. I have a team of 4 men from work who will be walking and I'm walking with them.
Yep! Lucky me day. I wonder if the silver coins will make it my via my Premium Bonds? I could pay off my sister and best friend's mortgages, buy a farm for Send a Cow and still have change for a gym pass!
