Rest of my post seems to have disappeared ! Anyway I managed all but one of the runs and I have to say it was a great feeling on such a beautiful morning.

This made me smile, the technology is often the hardest bit! Well done for getting started and before you know it, you will be weeks in, much fitter and feeling great. Keep us posted as to your progress, and good luck :)

Thank you Treemouse. Can I ask how you work out how much distance you have covered? Would I need another programme running? ( scuse the pun !) Today I just checked my before and after time .

Well done for tackling the most difficult run of them all.

Good luck with run 2.

lol. Welcome and good luck with your c25k :)

Good for you. Someone on here seemed to think that getting a sports bra on was the hardest part of getting started but you only had trouble with the technology.....Mapmywalk/Mapmyrun also work well for tracking distance, route and speed.

Well done for getting started, I wouldn't worry about distance for now but you can use google maps to work out the route you use or an app for your phone like runkeeper or mapmyrun are both helpful or later on if you want a new gadget then a GPS watch like a Garmin will give you all the info you need.

Well done for getting out on your first run. I echo Mummysaurus - speed and distance isn't important at this stage so try not to get hung up on it and just enjoy doing the sessions. Over the weeks you will notice the benefits of the programme - not just in relation to running as it can change your life in many ways and pay dividends. Good luck with your next run and best wishes.

Thank you , sensible and helpful replies. I am not remotely interested in time or distance at the minute, as long as I can manage to get up and out that will suffice meantime. Delighted that I managed my first " run " and hopefully many more.
