W6R3 today, very apprehensive. I completed W6R2 in 2 attempts, despite having run a full 20 successfully in one go last week..

Don't be scared, just give it your best. If you read through the posts here you will see that week 6 is a tricky one that most people find hard after the euphoria of week 5 run 3!

It really doesn't matter a jot if you need to repeat runs until you feel okay with them.

Keep it slow and steady and you will be fine.

Believe in yourself and you will be able to do it. Keep it slow and steady and you will get there. If you need to repeat the run then don't worry, remember you are out there running and doing great.

I had same feelings of self doubt a few weeks ago and posted about it. As you will note i now have my grafuate badge proving I overcame the worries as you will too. My advice is to slow down slightly as I did and trust in the programme and yourself (think back a few short weeks to when running for ONE minute was difficult!).

Week 6 was really really hard & I was comforted to read so many thought so too! I just ran run 1 week 7 yesterday & did it.... Just! The advice to slow down is bang on.... You can do it!!! I believe, for me particularly, running is a mental challenge - trust the program & yourself ... Go for it xxx

I have faith in you! Do you know why? Because I just finished W6R2 today and thought to myself "10 minutes a piece?!" but just started to slow myself down a wee bit and keep on running. Try and remember how you felt on W5R3 because you already did that right? I am personally hoping that there is just a point where you suddenly forget everything and are just running without thinking about it.

You can do this!! :)

W6 is horrible, I don't know why but it is, but I did w7r1 yesterday, so it IS manageable. Just persevere and you WILL do it. Have faith in yourself and all the hard work you've already put in. Good luck!

Don't be scared my week 6 was terrible, in fact I didn't even technically complete the third run, almost but not quite but I declared it done and moved on to week 7. You will surprise yourself

Look how far you've come. Keep it up. Your going to have off days just don't give up. Well done so far.

As everyone says, you can and will do it - but really make the effort to start off slow. It is SO hard to go back to intervals after week 5 run 3, but it will really stand you in good stead. Just keep going, slow down if you need to, but don't stop. Week 9 will be on you quicker than you think.

Sorry that you've had a bad run. It doesn't matter if you have to repeat a run - you are building up stamina all the time. Stop worrying about the third run of this week - it is entirely manageable. If you are able to take a more philosophical view of it then that will help to change your mindset - thus making it, possibly, a bit easier on you. Week 6 has always been tough after the pleasure of the 20 minute run in week 5 and it's going back to intervals that often catches people out. Keep it very slow and steady, focus on the horizon not the ground, and just try to enjoy the sensation of running for the sheer pleasure of it. You will come through okay. Good luck and best wishes.

It took me 3 weeks to complete week 6! Sprained ankle meant had to stop running half way through w6r2. When I came back I had to do week 6 twice to feel confident about moving to week 7. Just go at your own pace, don't be disappointed, think back to week 1 and how far you've come. You can do it xx

Don't be. Week 5 is the one we all dread so many of us sail through it then hit a wall for week 6. It took me three weeks to get through 6. Having 2 goes at r2 means you're not rushing at it. Go steady and you'll do it either first time, second, or even third, but however many attempts it takes you'll do it! We all have faith in you! Good luck

I'm sure you'll have done it fine and if not then you'll easily catch up.

I did that run today and found it hard especially since the place I chose to do it was hilly. Psychologically I think I was helped because I missed what Laura said at the beginning. I was convinced I was doing a 20 minute run. After about 9 minutes I was expecting to hear her give me a halfway time check but that didn't come for what felt like an age. When it did come I realised what was in store for me but I was already half way there!

It' s nice to meet someone at the same stage of the program :-) Isn't it great to hear Laura say you are a proper runner?

Congratulations! You are nearly there - Hope you got on ok with W6R3. I just graduated last week and i keep going on about it but I was struggling and one key piece of advice which changed everything for me - SLOW DOWN! Speed and stamina can be considered afterwards but keep it up. If I can do it anyone can! Good luck!
