Just completed week 1, rest days tomorrow and Tuesday, should I get up early and walk , will that hinder or help

Walking uses different muscles, but will still help with your general fitness levels, so go for it. If you do a 10 mile hike up a mountain, you might need to factor in another rest day, but for normal walks it should fit in without any problems.
Good idea to have a nice walk - the different muscles used will definitely be a help to you. Have a nice couple of days rest and good luck with your next run. Best wishes.

Walking on the days between runs is a good idea. On run days the dog gets one long walk - non run days he gets 2.
Yes it is addictive
