Does anyone know how many runners have graduated since C25K started?

No, but I'd love to find out :) I think maybe the NHS C25K podcasts were available before this forum (I can't remember where i heard that) but even to get an idea for how many have graduated since the beginning of health unlocked would be interesting. With 10,000 members, I reckon there'd be quite a high number who get the whole way, and perhaps many more who graduate who don't use the forum. Either way, it's inspiring to know how we can access free resources to improve mental and physical health. I wonder if the founders of the programme get the proper recognition they deserve?

Lots of wondering going on! I hadn't realised that the forum may have been a later addition. I too have wondered about the creators of the programme..... and with the current state of the NHS being debated more and more, C25K is like an hidden jewel in it's vaults.

Maybe we should try to track down the creators, and point out to the NHS that there is a good publicity opportunity coming up when we hit 20,000 members. Especially if the graduate numbers prove to be a respectable ratio.

The programme was actually created by an American, Josh Clark, who wanted to get his mother to do some regular exercise. There must be thousands around the world who have 'graduated' using the scheme. Those registered on the forum are probably only the tip of the iceberg!

This site wasn't on the go when I first did C25K which I started 30th August 2010. I fell upon it by accident in May 2011 while redoing it after being out of action due to sciatica for 3 months. There were only a few hundred of us if I remember rightly and I found it when I was on week 7. Its been my favourite site ever since due to the friendly helpful people who are members. Its gone from strength to strength with a huge increase in the last year or so. HealthUnlocked should be very proud of this site also NHS for giving us what has proved to be a life changing programme for so many people. I can't tell you the exact date that it was started unfortunately.
