Do I have to have at least one day rest in between runs or can I run every day?

Whilst your body is getting used to the exercise you do need the rest days, or you are much more likely to suffer an injury. The programme is all about building up gradually, and there's no advantage to racing to the end. Enjoy the journey. :-)

I agree 100% with Legion, don't spoil things by doing too much too soon it nearly always ends up badly with an injury. I speak from experience and would always advise to stick with the programme and even take an extra run or two if needed. Good luck, its a good healthy sign when you want more of it. ;)

rest days are so important for your muscles all knitting together and recovering...I know its hard as the programme is so addictive but it is to prevent injury..good luck :)

Graduated, and now do pritty much 7k every other day and a 10k at weekends(when i can be bothered), still find that its very important to take a rest day in-between. If you do feel the need to do something and you are on your bum all day do what I did and get a exercise bike and do 30 mins on maybe light resistance - something to keep the legs moving just not too taxing.
