I lost my mum on the 21 December and just 4 weeks after my brother unexpected. The only thing that is keeping me sane is my running. Many thx. I am so glad that I have this programme, now I have started the 10 k which I hope to finish by the mid march.

So sorry to hear that Grace. I agree, the routine of running and having a goal to move towards is a great help to getting through difficult days. Stay strong.

Sorry to hear about your sad times. Sometimes we just need some old fashioned routines to help us feel normal. I am so glad you have found running helps with this. Take very good care of yourself.

I'm so sorry to hear of your sadness but I believe running will help you. It seems to help clear your mind, by giving you time to think I suppose. It is good for mind and body and will help get you out of yourself, as they say. I do hope your training goes well for 10 k. Many of us here are working from 5 to 10 k now so will be able to run with you so to speak. Keep us up to date with how you get on

How terribly sad. Hats off to YOU though with the running. It will really help and I think you're amazing for getting up and just doing it. I hope it helps to cope with your recent loss.

I am sorry to hear about your losses. Any form of exercise will be good and doing the 10k will give you a great focus. There are lots of blogs out there on how running has helped people through their losses, but were are always here to offer you support too.

What a wonderful finger up at what fate has dealt you lately. January can be a tough enough time for most people. I wish you every success.

How lovely of you all to be there for me with all your kind words. I will share now some wonderful news, my daughter in law and my son yesterday told me that they are especting their first Baby. I am going up and down like a yoyo, but keep positive I will. Thx all. Bless your hearts.

Oh, a new grandbaby! So happy for you all! Life has its ups and downs, and it was your family's turn for an up.

My dad died two years ago, my adult daughters and i spent a week with my Mom after. My older daughter swears she got pregnant the night she returned home. Darling grandson is a joy to us all.

My deepest sympathies for your sad losses but, in the same breath, congratulations on having a new grandchild to look forward to. I am sure your running routine will be a help and comfort to you at this time. With very best wishes.
