yes you read that right....week1 run4. im repeating week one as not confident enough to start week two. ive invested in new trainers and oh my gosh! what a difference! so much more relaxing and easy to run. had to extend normal route but again endomando let me down. it timed me but didn't measure distance...ggrrrrrrr! go me tho! whoop whoop!

Repeating is fine but I bet you could manage W2 no problem, especially in new supershoes. Each week really does prepare you for the next. With all the tracking apps you need to check that you have a GPS fix before you set off. It can take one or two minutes of standing still before the satellites lock on. Good luck.
thanks for the advice on app.....im bit of a technophobe lol. by the time I got home I could of done it all again. I don't want to run before I can walk (pardon the pun)
Ian's right, if you meet the intervals there's no need to repeat, heck even if you're only off by a second here and there then I'd say the advantages of moving on far out way being easy on yourself
That said, at the end of my 1st week I only managed 50% of week 1 and 3rd week it was 75%, boy was I unfit So there's no shame in repeating either
Way to go! Great job. Your enthusiasm will stand you in good stead in the future. Well done.
The technical stuff can be a bit of a hinderance at this stage IMHO. All anyone needs to do is just do pretty much what Laura says to your ear, end of. As others have said, if you've completed 3 of week one and not stopped to walk before Laura said, you are ready for week two. Such is the way of things that there will be bad runs and what kind of message would that be to yourself if it was a week one you couldn't manage? Many of us find that first week harder than the rest - not just about starting out but because it is hard to get the pace right.
Congratulations on your new romantic shoe relationship, it's great isn't it when you find something that works so well.
Brilliant, don't worry, I did some weeks many times over. Trust the programme though, it does work and the sense of achievement you get from doing a run you didn't think possible is fantastic. Keep at it.
I felt like that at the end of last week when I was nervous about wk2 r1. (I know - get a grip!). I got up and went back to bed twice! Then read that morning's inspirational posts here, thought 'I can do this too' and went and did it. And just as so many posts have said - Laura prepares us. As I ran I chanted 'I AM RUNNER'! (But 1st made sure no -one was within earshot as I didn't want anyone collapsing in hysterics ) . I'm off to do wk2 r2 now.
I completed week 1 on Saturday but didn't feel confident enough to start week 2 and had planned to do the week 1 run again tonight. However, following a stressful and tedious day at work, I decided to go for it - it wasn't easy but I did it. I'm over 50, overweight and haven't run since leaving school in 1976 so if I can do it, anyone can!
