So just finished W4 R1. I was really nervous when I set out, especially when I heard Laura say exactly how long the running segments were going to be and so to make sure you paced yourself...
So I set off for the first run segment with some trepidation which was not overly helped by a long downpour of icy rain!
Anyway the long and short of it was that I did it and quite easily which took me totally by surprise. The whole way through I kept expecting it to get harder but it didn't. I don't know whether it was the cooling effects of the icy rain but I didn't feel a sweaty hot mess either for a change. When Laura said I only had a minute left at the end of the last 5 min run I had enough energy left to speed up a bit too (hardly a sprint but a little burst of speed nonetheless)!
So now I feel a bit disappointed with my run and I'm worried that I was just running too slow and not putting enough effort in.
Now I've had a shower and a rest I'm laughing at myself a bit because 4weeks ago it took all the effort in the world to break into a run for the first 60secs an now I'm stressing about how fast to run!! Anyway any advice people? Think ill try it faster on Tuesday and see how I get on but does anyone else find the first time they try a new week they run a bit slow to begin with due to nerves about getting through or is it just me? :-S
