Does anyone follow Paleo? What do you eat to fuel your runs and help with recovery?
A banana before my run, water and stretches after and a healthy balanced diet which is low in fat. I've been static BMI 22.5 for about a year now and weight is good for my age, gender etc. I just need to watch the wine when I'm on holiday, I do like a glass or 3, . . . . . . . .
My boyfriend is doing a paleo diet at the moment, and although he doesn't run he does work out. I dont think he specifically eats anything before/after a gym session, but I know there are quite a lot of free recipes online which he uses for inspiration. These are a couple of websites I found when I was looking into it - it looks good, but not sure I'd have the willpower to stick to it! Hope it helps!

I agree with oldgirl. I'm most energetic if I have a banana (with a spoon of peanut butter) before a run. It is always good to have some protein (greek yogurt or a protein smoothie) after your run to help repair muscles. Again I'm with ya on the wine oldgirl
