My knees hurt and I need at least a week for them to recover.
I got up too late and really should be working by this time
I have not finished digesting last night dinner
There is something interesting must check on facebook or my email
I dont feel like it so that must mean I am not in a fit state to run
I didn't do a good a good Park run time on Saturday so I am clearly not a runner
The postman is going to arrive at any minute with a delivery and I will have to stop my run to let him in
SO WHAT DID I DO??
I ran anyway, did Lauras speed session and now I feel great - no knee problems after the first couple of minutes
None of the above are reasons - they are excuses which might have stopped me having a good run this morning - thank goodness I managed not to listen to them today - tommorrow will of course be the same battle again

too true - but I gave myself 9 out of 10 for creativity for the one about the postman - hadn't thought of that excuse before!
although I usually have a weather one in there... too hot to run, and all that rain will make the road surface slippy & unsafe, and if it's too dry then I will de-hydrate, and then I'll be no good for the rest of the day and will miss all of the other totally interesting and utterly.... sod it okay I'll run!
isn't it brilliant when you learn to ignore your own head.
love this - I will make my new thought for the day 'Sod it okay Ill run!" anyone would think I didn't enjoy running - and I do , lots, just finding it difficult to get going some mornings
