How many times a week do people run after grad... - Couch to 5K
How many times a week do people run after graduation?
If life etc doesn't get in the way I try and do 3 a week, more often than not one of them will be quite short but fast using Speed or doing my own thing of intervals.
I only graduated a few weeks ago but have also stuck to the couch to 5K plan of running every other day. I still like the idea of giving my body a rest day in between runs and it makes me look forward to it for longer so I enjoy it all the more when I do go
We do the same 3 days we did during the program.
3 a week also for me.
Another three or four a week. I run pretty much every other day - I don't like taking two rest days in a row, I find my legs are tighter.
I'd like to run everyday, but I've not heard good things about it. I run every other however.
so far I only don 3 (I once did 4 just to stick to my planned graduation day and suffered afterwards). Although I am now on a 10k training plan, and I would love to sneak in a quick speed session to take me upto 4 times per week - but that would mean going out twice on a weekend which is no good for maintaining the compulsory ratio of blood:alcohol throughout the whole weekend!
I try to do at least 3-4 runs a week but during the really hot weather I've done 5-6 shorter runs later in the evening.

Thanks everyone for responding, I'm aiming to run 4 times a week and definitely agree you should have a rest day in between.
I like it 4 times a week, but you have to do what suits you, your body, your life......
Not nearly often enough... I've found it quite hard to keep motivated after graduating and am thinking of going back to week 5 and start again from there.
Im doing the same pattern at the moment, one day on one day off, i know some keen runners do several days then a few days off
Three times a week for now that is and at least until my half marathon training moves up a gear!
Three sometimes 4 (one is always a Speed; one 5K and one longer towards 10K) but always on alternate days.
Thanks for further responses and especially after reading sassa's post, very good advice. I was tempted to run rest of way home after 'speed' podcast, but decided against it. No rush, not worth getting injured.
