You are a lovely group & your words of encouragement help keep me going..........however I admit to failure this morning I have just attempted week 6 run 3 my legs gave up after about 18 minutes BUT I will try again on Sunday. Do you have days where things just don't go right?
Hope you all have a happy w/end & good running.

Lots of runs where things don't go to plan unfortunately! But you got out there and any run is better than no run so don't be too hard on yourself. I'm sure you'll be fine next time!
You got out there and ran, which is better than staying on the couch. A bad run is better than no run at all. Next time take it real slow, you'll get there.
Abso-blooming-lutely! I graduated a month ago and then lost my mojo for a bit, but have run four times this week and am just back from listening the W6R3 as I went out this morning! (First Laura for many, many weeks - but I wanted the reassurance at the end of that particular podcast that I am actually a runner! ... daft, or what? LOL ) Darned if I could complete it either! Slowed to a walk a couple of times and stayed out for 40ish minutes, but it certainly wasn't all running!
I certainly recall 'lead leg' days and 'wooden head' days during the programme - I think most of us do! Don't worry, today wasn't a failure because you were out there and gave it a try! It's perfectly possible that as you are entering the longer, continual run phase of the course, your legs simply need a little longer than one day of rest and recover between outings. Try it again later and you will probably amaze yourself by not only doing the required 25, but also feeling that you you can continue far longer Lots of folk have said that supremely wonderful runs often follow grotty outings and vice versa.
No outing in which you run for 18 mins can be classed as a failure! Everyone has "less good" days but try not to think of them as fails. Remember - if you're at Wk 6, Run 3 you've only 9 more before you graduate. And you will. Go for it, chin up and run!!!
As above - you ran for 18 minutes, think back even just a few weeks, wouldn't that have surprised you? It really is a gradual process, but bit by bit you will be gaining fitness just by being out there and giving it your best shot. Some runs are tough especially when starting out, even now I have the odd joyless leaden plod, but hang on in there and it will get easier I promise.
It's not a failure, some days are better than others. A true failure was me last week lying in bed instead of going for a run. Always regretted later. Keep going.
