hi mum has COPD and Dementia (we think!) and some night times unable to sleep for very long - very confused assumes its daytime refuses to go back to bed! however Gp wont prescribe sleep meds due to breathing issues/low oxygen levels- brother struggling! Any one got any ideas? Anti anxiety meds?? Mum refuses to see Gp or visit hospital appts, thanks

sorry I have no experience with a situation that you are facing but know that most anti-anxiety medications or sleep medications are sedating and assume they would sedate her breathing which based on what you mentioned your doctor has said she wouldn’t be able to tolerate them. I’m sorry i can’t offer any advice but hope and pray you find a solution.
You could also try posting on the forum at the link below as there are many more members there then there are on this forum and you may get some suggestions there.
