Hiya, I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on options when flying and needing oxygen. My mum needs oxygen 24/7 - 1ltr when sitting and 4ltr when moving. She has called a company and can hire a machine to use but the battery only lasts 3.5hrs, we might be able to hire an additional battery. The problem is that 3.5hrs won’t be long enough to get to spain! And even with an additional battery she would need to set an alarm through the night to change the battery.
Has anyone else had any experience with this? Hiring the machine from the UK is hundreds of pounds and I imagine if we need to hire a machine in spain too it will go into the thousands.

hi , i travelled with oxygen ,,,only to majorca ,,( i only require it on board ) ,, but i had to have it all the time on the plane , i decided to pay the airline and they provided the oxygen and it was set ready for me on the plane , i was allowed on the plane first to get settled at the front of the plane before others came on board , i felt it was less hassle , yes more expensive, but hassle free , same on return flight, hope you have a great holiday
