Hi!! I have mild emphysemous changes on a CT scan. Your oxygen on room air while sitting seems perfect even for someone without a lung problem! I do not know why your oxygen drops quickly, but the fact it comes back quick is very good...from what I've read. We do not get very many answers this is a fact!! There are very knowledgeable people on this site...I am sure they will be able to help more than I did.
Please take care,
Meg
Has the doc done any tests? Most likely you need oxygen for activities like walking, showering, shopping, housework etc.
Are you taking any meds like Advair or Spiriva or do you have a rescue inhaler?
If you have a fingertip oximeter you can keep track of your oxygen level. If it drops to 88 or below you are risking organ damage from lack of oxygen. Oximeter can be purchased at Amazon or any drug store.
