Spacers

I have been using them for years and I cleaned them regularly. No longer able to clean them myself. How do I convince my son that it is important

What are spacers? Is it something you put on the mouthpiece of an inhaler?

For anything that is washable, the easiest way to clean and disinfect it is to soak it in vinegar.

Hi Pat's, i use an old clean toothbrush. In warm water.Wouldnt use disinfectant or any detergent. And your Son should know it's important because you shouldn't be breathing in any Particles, or bits of dust or dirt. 😊

Explain that if they're not cleaned regularly that they can get you sick, my pulmonary rehab nurse says that she's seen more pneumonia patients from using unclean ed equipment.

Unless you don't have the use of your hands I don't understand why you just dont' put them in some hot water and soak and rinse. Easy peasy. Not meaning to be rude but it is best to not ask for someone to do a job you can easily do yourself. Best to save the help for things you can't do.... good luck
