Hello everyone I’m hobo1,I’ve had COPD for a very longtime now.4th stage. I’m on oxygen 24/7 ,take prednisone,Advair, spriva. Don’t get out very much. I have to have a cart or wheelchair to get around. I have dark circles around my eyes, any feed back on this.

So awfully sorry to read this, Hobo1. Certainly, it's what I fear and I suspect we all do. Is there anything that still gives you enjoyment? Welcome to this group.

Are you in a state that has medical marijuana?

If so, have you considered cannabis oil? Lots of good feed back on its use.

We I dont think in UK are legalised for this yet I maybe wrong x

Yes. CBD oil is legal, here in the UK. There are some good websites to buy it from. There are different strength's, But it is very expensive!! I've just started trying it. I've got many health issue's. And a lot of pain.

Ihave had COPD also we are about the same, how old are you I am 73 and also do not get out much, juat had a vision stroke so my vision is in a little mess. I try with Gods help to take a day at a time. Can not see the eye Dr. until Dec. But pray my sight will come back to were it was at least.

I also have bone on bone in my right leg they do not think with the Oxygen I have to take could have a knee replacement so take shot they help some but not long have to wait 3 months beteen.

So we are pretty much in the same place you have a friend.

Hi Hobo1, Welcome! I'm also new and like yourself have 4th stage COPD along w Asthma. I'm 73 yrs old and I'm on oxygen at home, mostly at night. Since the weather has gotten cooler have not required my portable oxygen when I go out.

I wanted to say that I had taken Prednisone previously and didn't do good with it. My specialist switched me to an inhaled steroid called Qvar as this is inhaled directly into the lungs and has less side effects than Prednisone. I take 2 puffs of Qvar 2 x a day for daily maintenance and it's been very helpful.

Not sure about dark circles but noticed I have them too and never had before my diagnoses but assume is has something to do with oxygen..Blessings to you

Thanks to all of reply’s, I very much still enjoy life.Just like everyone else we have our up and downs. I’m on oxygen 24/7. I live in a rural area, lots of woods around. North central Florida town call chiefland. I’ be 60 yrs. , old . 12/07/ 1957., my kids and family try’s to come see me when they can. I do not do cannabiss oil or the weed part of it. But I do have the medical cannabiss candy. It does work! There all different kinds, but you have to find a person who gets it or order it online. I do wear glasses, have a cataract in the right eye.Andwe have no insurance at all..God takes care of me.Happy Thanksgiving to everyone,

Hobo1 my friend i woz like this a yr ago then i got a 2nd hand mobility scooter 2 pop down local shops + n.h.s.gave me a portable oxygen machine in a shoulder bag so this gives me bit of confidence 2 get out each day if only 4 an hour x read up much as poss about this horrible disease x information is freedom x take care my friend x😎💛♿💙👍💚🔮💜🗿🖤😘💋🇬🇧x
