Hi I'm new here and am wondering if anyone is using Anoro for their COPD and if so, how do you like it? I'm a Prince fan, by the way ha ha.

Hi I'm new here :-)
Okay I'll reply to my own post and let you know I found the search bar so I'll have a look at Anoro posts. Anyone out there who wants to share experiences with it please reply.
Welcome to the site. I don't use Anoro so I can't help you there. But you've helped me...I never knew about the search bar. There's a wealth of knowledge, encouragement & advice here. Much to learn.
I don't use it sorry I use spiriva and find it ok but find the effects tend to wear of as day progresses, I'm in the uk though so haven't heard of Anoro or maybe it's just me.Do you find it helps a lot just curious as if it's good might look into it with my copd nurse.sorry I wasn't more help.Take care.x
I just started taking it so I don't have a lot of info although it did take away in just one day a prominent wheeze I could hear and feel in my chest. It comes with a risk of dementia with long term use so I have to decide on it or albuterol, or something else for my copd. I was just diagnosed 10 days ago with moderate copd. Thank you for responding. Anoro is a once a day inhaled long acting medicine.
Thanks for the information it's appreciated.x
If it causes a risk of dementia I would consider using the Albueterol. I use it and I'm very severe and it really helps. Of course I also use two nebulizers twice a day, Brovana & Budsenoide. I lose my oxygen saturation very easily and feel i'm getting dementia or memory loss due to oxygen deprivation. Thus the reason I would tread carefully w/ the med you are taking. I used to be good speller and now I am lucky if I can remember the words. well happy trails...beathe on....
Thank you and I'm happy for the help you get with albuterol, it helps me greatly also. Are you on oxygen 24/7 now?
Suziolive I have used Anoro in the past and it worked better than any other inhaler I have used. Unfortunately my Medicare Advantage Plan here in PA will no longer cover the Anoro Elipta. My pulmonologist just put me on Stioltio Respimat which he claims has the same properties (LAMA/LABA). I have samples now which I am trying. The Stioltio is also expensive but at least insurance pays for some of it.
Sorry to hear about that change but I hope the new rx works as well. Do you use a rescue inhaler?
Yes the expense is very high my doctor is working on getting me a new inhaler, my insurance will not pay for Dulera any more which I have used for a couple of years now I do not know what I will be using she is checking on some.
Must be annoying changing your rx like that so I hope you get one as good as Dulera. Grrrr to the ins co.
I love Prince, cried my eyes out for two days when he passed....my doc just prescribed Breo, I was on Dulera. My insurance wouldn't pay for it. I'm on oxygen to sleep and medication 2x a day.
Thank you all who have (and will) responded as this is one conundrum after another, and we need to support each other.
